buzzthepeople fundraising
Since we started buzzthepeople, we have donated over $160,000 to
NZ charities, schools, and sports clubs. It really does make a
difference and we update our members regularly on our
donations.
If you wish us to offer your charity, school, or club as a
fundraising options, please get in touch and we can get this
organised.
Charity donations
When you want to donate your BeePoints
to a buzz charity, you nominate the charity of your
choice as you sign up. Then, every research survey you complete
will automatically allocate your BeePoints to their fundraising
pot.
Below are some of the charities that are
currently receiving regular donations from buzzthepeople.
ECO (Environment
and Conservation Organisations) • Forest and Bird Society • Hospice NZ • KidsCan • National Council of Home
Educators • Outward
Bound NZ • The Malaghan
Institute of Medical Research • Yellow-eyes Penguin Trust • Youthline
We have been to visit all of the charities
above and as well as donations, offer our foundation
charities heavily discounted research services. We know
they value their involvement with the buzzthepeople research
panel.
School and sports club fundraising programme
A number of us at Buzz have kids at school and playing sports so
we understand the huge fundraising pressure schools and clubs are
under. That's why we enable people to nominate
their school or club to receive their BeePoints.
When you sign up with us, you can pick a New Zealand school or
sports club. Then, when you complete a Research Survey for us we'll
put a minimum of $1 into the school or club pot you have
nominated.
Say 200 people signed up from your school community (e.g.
siblings, mums dads, uncles, aunts...) and they each did 5 surveys
a year, your school would receive a cheque for $1,000. How simple
is that!
Sports clubs need to pre-register with us so if your club isn't on
the list when you sign up contact us.
Making fundraising work for your cause
This programme works best when there are at least 20-30 people
who have nominated a school or club, so we have a couple of
suggestions to help get people signed up:
- Put the Join Up button right on
your school or club website, and when people sign up this way, they
are automatically flagged as your fundraiser.
- Ask for our newsletter wording,
that you can drop into your newsletter as a simple explanation of
how our fundraising works.
- Consider making the recruitment
process fun. How about a competition amount classes or teams with a
prize for the most sign ups? Have a chat to us about how we can
help with this.
